Driving in the Country

When we were kids, my mom would pile us all in the car and on weekends,
Daddy would drive us out to the country to just drive around.
i guess that is why i love to drive, and look and dream. I think my mom
always wanted to move to the country , being from a small town in
Alabama, and wanting to go back to simpler times, a better environment
to raise kids. and , i think for some, the grass is greener on the other side,
until you realize , it really isn’t…so, daddy obliged but never took the bait to
move out or buy any land for that matter. but this reminds me of those days,
just driving out to get out of the city and have a look around. These are
from around Round Top after I dropped Graham off at a workshop several
weeks ago! Near Brenham, the hills and rolling pastures
just perfect for those happy cows that Blue Bell Ice cream
speaks so lovingly of having!
